I am a bit surprised but it seams as though the NCAA could be moving towards a ban on Text Messages during silent recruiting periods. I am sure that parents of recruits are excited about this as they will not have to pay for unlimited texts. Personally I think that text messages have gotten out of hand. When I am with a recruit they typically get about 30-40 a day. I guess I feel that is too much. But most recruits I have asked, do not wish the texts to go away. They are not troubled by it. That being said I have a feeling that Text Messages will be a thing of the past when it comes to recruiting.
